Employee referral - My friend was a manager at the time and knew of my mechanic experience. I Started as a shop mechanic and was promoted to Shop Foreman after 2 months.

Why Sunbelt Rentals over other companies?

Benefits, growth opportunity and company was expanding.

Brief summary of your military background & career path with Sunbelt (to date and what you plan for the future)

Joined the Marine Corps a year out of high school and served 4yrs. with E co.2nd Battalion Eighth Marines with multiple deployments to Lebanon and Granada attached to the 22nd MAU.

Have been a diesel mechanic for 35yrs. including work study in high school. I have been to multiple schools and factory classes attaining numerous certifications. Since starting with Sunbelt I have turned my shop into a steady performer, meeting or exceeding company goals with the help of my team. We strive to put out equipment that is in top mechanical condition to eliminate breakdowns for our customers. Also we have a solid preventive maintenance program in place for the shop and on the road to keep major repairs in check.

In your own words - tell us a little about your experience here at Sunbelt Rentals:

I have really enjoyed working at Sunbelt and watching it grow over the years. When I started here almost everything was hand written and manually researched with books. The change in the technology and the support structure have really helped me to be more efficient and productive. Everyday working here presents a new set of challenges to overcome because no two days are alike, and takes a group effort to pull it off.
