Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems using both a laptop and telematics
  • Services and oversees repairs of all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition at the job site
  • Performs advanced Pump/HVAC/ Power Generator/Compressor and other repairs as assigned
  • Scopes Customers’/Project needs and provides solutions
  • Manages repair and maintenance of all Profit Center equipment
  • Evaluates all equipment after repairs, maintenance and safety checks
  • Maintains service records and creates warranty claims
  • Performs rent ready inspections on Pump/Power/Compressors/Load Banks and HVAC equipment
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
  • Installs flexible gas hoses on both propane and natural gas applications; performs proper and safe procedure to check gas connections
  • Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.
  • Disposes of hazardous materials in a responsible and safe fashion
  • Adheres to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt management including company vehicle upkeep
  • Available for on call emergency service as scheduled
  • Oversees shop repairs and leads other employees engaged in equipment repair and maintenance in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Maintain all CMV requirements of position
  • Able to communicate equipment status to customers onsite and determine whether equipment needs to be replaced
  • Obtain and maintain all necessary site and customer specific documentation

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • DOT Physical Examination (Medical card)
  • EPA section 608 universal Certification required
  • Advanced understanding and repair of mechanical, electrical and diesel equipment, generators, HVAC and air compressors
  • Advanced understanding of refrigeration (EPA Certified)
  • Mastery of load bank repairs
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engines and controllers
  • Advanced operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and munters
  • Experience with and comprehension of VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and “across the line” motor starting preferred
  • Has some factory diesel, generator, compressor, HVAC training
  • Has a high level of operational process/system aptitude
  • Able to read and understand electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic flow schematics
  • Excellent project management and customer service skills required
  • Able to produce hand drafted schematic modifications if needed

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $24.60 - 31.42
