JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops an ESG Dashboard relevant that drive performance and become predictive in nature. Responsible for implementation and rollout of Dashboards to field operations, putting real-time information at the hands of leadership throughout Sunbelt Rentals.
  • Creates a Green House Gas (GHG) emissions inventory, water efficiency and waste to landfill reporting standards and publish performance scorecards on a quarterly basis.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate important information with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Assists the VP ESG to prioritize business and information needs based on data intelligence and in creating an ESG / Environmental Compliance Management System built on the tenants of simplicity, accuracy, and ease of use.
  • Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities for data collection and reporting
  • Develops and manages a robust data architecture to support both data exploration and analytics.
  • Creates a profile concept based on business requirements by which to test theories, calculations and visuals against, thus leading to approval and final deployment
  • Conducts troubleshooting by reviewing the data model and other performance indicators to locate and correct code/performance problems
  • In partnership with ESG Team, SH&E Team and field personnel, develops Sunbelt Rentals’ data acquisition and data management strategy.
  • Develops and manages the process for predictive analytics to drive ESG performance improvement.
  • Enables timely data submission and reporting for leadership to monitor progress toward annual ESG objectives and targets.
  • Manages Sunbelt Rentals’ ESG data and associated software strategies as necessary
  • Works with BI and IT teams on data visualizations.
  • Manages and partners with IT on build vs. buy decisions, proof of concepts, software selection as it relates to ESG data acquisition and reporting.
  • Supports external ESG reporting initiatives such a Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management or equivalent data management experience plus 5 years of ETL process, data transformation, data visualization or related experience
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Working knowledge of Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), Green House Gas Protocols and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Reporting systems.
  • Working knowledge of EDW and RDBS
  • Strong understanding of data visualization to include gathering business requirements, scoping, building and aspects of QA/Validation in order to provide fully functional and accurate dashboards using business intelligence tools (Primarily Power Bi)
  • Working knowledge of PowerQuery, M Code, DAX  
  • Strong ability to write SQL code (Use of AS400)
  • Working knowledge of Excel, CSV, Pipe Delimited files & Analyses Service Cubes
  • Understanding of application programming interfaces (API) and web services

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
